Women Who Don't Look Down - Breaking Barriers Through Connection and Dialogue🤝

The day opened with interactive ice-breaking activities that encouraged participants to learn each other's names, communicate beyond language barriers, and establish meaningful first impressions. This was followed by comprehensive information sessions introducing the Erasmus+ Programme and the Youthpass Certificate, helping participants understand the educational value of youth exchanges, the eight key competences of Youthpass, and the opportunities available through international mobility projects. These sessions ensured that every participant started the project with clear expectations and a shared understanding of the learning journey ahead.

Later in the day, participants explored the local surroundings to become familiar with essential services before taking part in "Societal Perspectives Exchange," one of the project's first thematic discussions. Young people presented research, statistics, and personal experiences from their own countries regarding women's roles in society, gender inequality, discrimination, stereotypes, and social expectations. By comparing realities across six participating countries, the activity encouraged intercultural dialogue while demonstrating that many of the challenges faced by women are shared globally and require collective action.

💜 The first day successfully established a strong foundation for the entire project by combining orientation, education, cultural exchange, and meaningful discussion. Through non-formal learning methods, participants strengthened their communication skills, challenged initial prejudices, and began developing the confidence needed to actively contribute to future workshops focused on women's rights, equality, and social inclusion. The daily evaluation session concluded the programme by allowing participants to reflect on their learning experiences and shape the following days of this international Erasmus+ journey.
