eSafetyStride: Youth United - A Meaningful Farewell

The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “eSafetyStride: Youth United” (Project No. 2024-1-LV02-KA152-YOU-000217806) was held in Riga, Latvia, from 9–15 December 2024, hosted by the Venus Women's Rights Association.

The final stage of the exchange combined enjoyable team-building activities with opportunities for reflection and celebration. Interactive group games encouraged participants to communicate, cooperate, and strengthen the friendships they had built throughout the project. These informal activities reinforced trust, teamwork, and positive group dynamics while creating lasting memories that reflected the strong intercultural bonds formed during the mobility.

Participants then completed their Youthpass self-evaluation process, reflecting on the knowledge, competences, and personal growth they had achieved during the exchange. By completing their certificates, they identified the skills they had developed in areas such as digital awareness, communication, teamwork, creativity, intercultural learning, and active participation. The Youthpass process also helped participants recognize the value of non-formal education and understand how their learning experiences could support their future educational, professional, and personal development across Europe.

The project's impact extended beyond the participant group through a stakeholder visit and a cultural exploration of Riga. During the visit to a local women's rights organization, participants shared the project's objectives and outcomes while exchanging ideas on promoting gender equality and combating cyber violence. The city visit further enriched the learning experience by introducing participants to Riga's historical landmarks, cultural heritage, and local community, demonstrating how Erasmus+ projects connect education with intercultural understanding and civic engagement.

The exchange concluded with a comprehensive evaluation that encouraged participants to review the project from multiple perspectives using reflective discussions, written feedback, and creative thinking methods. This process highlighted the achievements of the mobility while generating valuable ideas for future initiatives. The farewell celebration and certificate ceremony marked the successful completion of an inspiring learning journey that empowered participants to become more responsible digital citizens, stronger advocates for gender equality, and active contributors to safer and more inclusive online communities.
