Venus Women's Rights Association was a small community established in Riga, Latvia, to defend women's rights, to ensure that women take ownership of their career lives, to prevent and protect them from violence, to enable them to fight mobbing and to explain that they are not alone socially. Over time, with the developments in the world, the number of people who needed support and wanted to give support increased and our community decided to continue its path as an association in 2022. Every day, the community increases its number of members and works to make women's voices heard louder. The community also has many volunteers and supportive staff. This association, which is especially accessible to all women in need of help in the world, aims to open its doors to the whole world and make women's voices heard and change societies. Within the framework of these goals, it continues to carry out its work through different organizations.

The objectives of our association are as follows;

- Our association aims to support women in making their voices heard in all their problems,

- To reach all women wherever they are,

- To draw reactions against physical or social/psychological violence and to prevent such incidents from occurring in societies,

- To ensure the elimination of discrimination between women and men in all areas,

- To support women in their professional lives and careers,

- To emphasize the importance of shared consciousness of womanhood in the struggle against male domination,

- To cooperate at local, national and international level to eliminate violence against women,

- To work with non-violent methods and exploring new ways in which everyone can better express themselves,

- To support women's personal development,

- To enable women to build face-to-face and intimate relationships and to raise awareness of their shared condition of womanhood,

- We do not see ourselves as "rescued" and "savior" women; we do not aim to rescue women who are subjected to violence, but to build mutual solidarity and become stronger together.

However, as Venus Women's Rights Association, we strongly oppose any kind of discrimination based on identity elements such as age, ethnic identity, language, disability status, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial status, political opinion, religious belief and we aim to stand side by side with all our diversity in all the work carried out in the association and not to fall into any discrimination within ourselves.
