We are excited to announce that our project titled “Change Starts Now” (2024-3-LV02-KA152-YOU-000266537) has officially been approved by the Latvian National Agency. This project is designed to raise awareness among young people about violence against women, empower them to take action, and promote gender equality.

Project Objectives

Raise Awareness About Violence Against Women: Through workshops, discussions, and creative activities, we will educate young participants on the forms, causes, and impacts of violence against women at both global and local levels.

Empower Young People to Take Action: We aim to develop leadership and social activism skills in youth, enabling them to launch awareness campaigns and create change in their communities.

Foster Cross-Cultural Dialogue and Collaboration: Young people from Latvia, Spain, Romania, Turkey, and Austria will come together to share experiences and best practices related to gender-based violence across different cultures.

Develop Lifelong Learning Skills: Participants will gain critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills to support their personal and professional growth.

Promote Gender Equality in Youth Work: We will work with youth workers and participants to identify gender inequalities and promote more inclusive and equitable youth work practices.

Encourage Peer Education and Community Engagement: Through project outputs like brochures, social media content, and awareness campaigns, youth will be encouraged to engage their local communities as peer educators.

Our project brings together partners from Spain, Romania, Turkey, and Austria to create an international platform for youth dialogue and cooperation on this vital social issue.

The approval of our project marks an important milestone in strengthening young people’s role in gender equality and preventing violence against women. We look forward to continuing this meaningful journey.
